In a tightly contested battle, the Detroit Lions topped the New England Patriots 23-16 in Week 10 of the 2026 season. This victory was crucial for the Lions as they push for playoff positioning while the Patriots aimed to stay competitive in a challenging conference. Jahmyr Gibbs was the standout performer for Detroit, racking up 114 rushing yards and proving to be a dynamic force on the ground. Quarterback Drake Maye of the Patriots also had a solid outing, throwing for 219 yards, but he struggled to convert those passing yards into touchdowns. Jameson Williams added to the Lions' offensive firepower with 84 receiving yards, consistently moving the chains and providing reliable targets for his quarterback. Defensively, the Lions were formidable, with Jack Campbell leading the team with nine total tackles. Alim McNeill's 1.5 sacks disrupted the Patriots' offensive rhythm, while Brian Branch's interception proved pivotal, halting a promising New England drive in the second half. The turning point came when the Lions' defense forced a key turnover, allowing them to maintain their lead and ultimately secure the victory.
