In a tightly contested battle, the Pittsburgh Steelers narrowly defeated the Tampa Bay Buccaneers 21-18 in Week 6 of the 2026 season. The victory keeps the Steelers in the playoff hunt, while the Buccaneers look to regroup after a hard-fought loss on their home turf. Drew Allar led the Steelers with two touchdown passes, showcasing both poise and accuracy under pressure. Baker Mayfield put up impressive numbers for the Buccaneers, throwing for 356 yards and keeping Tampa in the game until the final whistle. Meanwhile, Mike Washington Jr. contributed significantly on the ground, rushing for 69 yards to help balance the Steelers' offensive attack. Defensively, Jaquan Brisker was a standout for Pittsburgh, recording four total tackles and snagging an interception that proved crucial in the closing moments. The game’s turning point came when Brisker’s interception halted a potential game-winning drive for Tampa Bay late in the fourth quarter, allowing the Steelers to hold on for the win. Vita Vea's two and a half sacks highlighted Tampa Bay's defensive effort, but it wasn't enough to secure the victory.
