In a tightly contested matchup, the Houston Texans narrowly defeated the Tennessee Titans with a final score of 14-7 in Week 5 of the 2026 season. Both teams entered the game looking to solidify their positions in the playoff race, but it was the Texans who emerged victorious, continuing their momentum in the season. Brashard Smith was the standout performer on offense, rushing for an impressive 112 yards and finding the end zone, proving to be a key asset for the Texans. For the Titans, quarterback Cam Ward led the aerial attack with 158 passing yards, but it was the receiving efforts of Chimere Dike, who tallied 64 yards, that kept Tennessee in the game. Despite the Texans' efforts, they faced constant pressure from the Titans' defense. Defensively, the Texans made crucial plays that turned the tide in their favor. Calen Bullock's interception was a game-changing moment, halting a potential scoring drive for the Titans and maintaining the Texans' lead. Meanwhile, Oluwafemi Oladejo's nine tackles and Keldric Faulk's 1.5 sacks showcased the Titans' defensive prowess, but ultimately, it was the Texans’ resilience that secured the win.
