In a commanding performance, the Houston Texans topped the Cincinnati Bengals 30-17 in Week 2 of the 2026 season. This victory not only showcased the Texans' offensive firepower but also solidified their early-season momentum as they aim for a playoff push. C.J. Stroud was the star of the night, throwing for 219 yards and four touchdowns, leading the Texans’ offense with precision and poise. Brashard Smith added a solid ground game with 59 rushing yards, while Ja'Marr Chase led the Bengals in receiving with 99 yards, but it wasn’t enough to overcome Stroud's explosive performance. Defensively, the Texans made their mark with Will Anderson Jr. registering 1.5 sacks and Calen Bullock securing an interception, both critical in stifling the Bengals' attempts to mount a comeback. The turning point came in the second quarter when Stroud connected on a quick touchdown pass, extending the lead to 17-7, which the Bengals struggled to recover from for the remainder of the game.
