In a hard-fought divisional clash, the Atlanta Falcons topped the New Orleans Saints with a final score of 26-17, securing an important victory in Week 4 of the 2026 season. This win not only bolsters the Falcons' standing in the NFC South but also serves as a statement against their rival Saints, who were looking to gain momentum at home. Atlanta's offense was led by quarterback Michael Penix Jr., who threw for 213 yards and kept the chains moving with precision. Meanwhile, running back Bijan Robinson was a force on the ground, racking up 102 rushing yards and providing a balanced attack for the Falcons. On the other side, Tyler Shough threw two touchdown passes for New Orleans, showcasing his ability to find the end zone, but it wasn't enough to secure the win. Defensively, the Falcons were anchored by Jessie Bates III, who tallied nine total tackles, consistently making plays to stifle the Saints' drives. The turning point came late in the fourth quarter when Atlanta's defense held firm during a critical drive, forcing the Saints to settle for a field goal instead of a touchdown. This pivotal stop allowed the Falcons to maintain their lead and ultimately seal the victory.
