The Pittsburgh Steelers topped the New England Patriots with a final score of 42-30 in a high-stakes Week 2 matchup of the 2026 season. Both teams sought to establish early momentum in the league, but it was the Steelers who emerged victorious, showcasing their offensive prowess. Joe Milton led the Steelers to victory, tossing for an impressive 428 yards and four touchdowns, proving to be a significant factor in the game. His ability to connect with his receivers propelled Pittsburgh's offense, while the Patriots struggled to contain the passing attack. Meanwhile, Omari Evans stood out for New England with 159 receiving yards, but it wasn't enough to overcome the Steelers' offensive onslaught. Defensively, the Patriots had standout performances, particularly from Milton Williams, who recorded seven total tackles and an impressive six sacks. However, the game’s turning point came when the Steelers capitalized on a crucial turnover, allowing them to extend their lead. Despite a valiant effort from New England's defense, including an interception by Christian Gonzalez, they couldn't contain Pittsburgh's dynamic offense when it mattered most.
