The Dallas Cowboys kicked off the 2026 season with a commanding 10-0 victory over the New York Giants, setting the tone for the year ahead. In a game marked by defensive prowess, the Cowboys proved their readiness to contend by stifling their rivals and securing a crucial win in the division. Leading the charge for Dallas was quarterback Dak Prescott, who threw for 119 yards, showcasing his ability to manage the game effectively. Antonio Gibson was a force on the ground, rushing for 74 yards, while KaVontae Turpin made his presence felt in the passing game with 66 receiving yards. Together, they formed a balanced offensive attack that kept the Giants on their heels. Defensively, the Cowboys were relentless, with DaRon Bland notching a sack and DeMarvion Overshown snagging an interception, both critical in maintaining the shutout. The turning point came early in the second half when Overshown's interception halted a potential Giants scoring drive, allowing the Cowboys to maintain their lead and ultimately secure the win. The Giants, despite Abdul Carter's four tackles, struggled to find rhythm, leaving them scoreless in their season opener.
