In a commanding Week 1 matchup, the Los Angeles Chargers topped the Arizona Cardinals with a final score of 35-17, signaling a strong start to the 2026 season. The Chargers showcased their offensive prowess, while the Cardinals fought valiantly but ultimately fell short in their season opener. Carson Beck led the Cardinals with a remarkable performance, throwing for 391 yards and connecting on two touchdown passes. Despite the loss, Beck's standout play kept the game competitive, particularly as he targeted Kendrick Bourne, who exploded for 215 receiving yards. However, it was the Chargers' Omarion Hampton who stole the show on the ground, rushing for 141 yards and helping to control the tempo of the game. Defensively, the Chargers made crucial plays that swung momentum their way. Tarheeb Still was a standout performer with eight total tackles and two interceptions, showcasing his impact in the secondary. The turning point came when Still's second interception halted a promising Cardinals drive, leading to a quick touchdown that extended the Chargers' lead and ultimately sealed the victory.
