In a tightly contested battle to kick off the 2026 season, the Green Bay Packers narrowly defeated the Minnesota Vikings by a score of 13-10. Both teams showcased their strengths, but it was the Packers who ultimately emerged victorious in this Week 1 showdown, setting the tone for the season ahead. Packers quarterback Jordan Love led the charge with a solid performance, throwing for 204 yards, while running back Kaleb Johnson added a crucial 61 rushing yards to keep the chains moving. On the other side, Vikings quarterback Kyler Murray managed to throw for one touchdown, but it was wide receiver Tai Felton who stood out with an impressive 92 receiving yards, keeping Minnesota in the game until the final whistle. Defensively, the Packers made key plays that turned the tide in their favor, highlighted by Edgerrin Cooper's seven total tackles and Jalen Pitre's crucial interception. The game's turning point came in the second half when Pitre picked off a pass that halted a promising Vikings drive, allowing Green Bay to maintain their slim lead and secure the win. Dallas Turner did manage to record a sack for Minnesota, but it wasn't enough to swing the momentum back in their favor as time ran out.
