In a decisive Week 7 matchup, the Green Bay Packers topped the Detroit Lions 17-3, solidifying their position in the playoff race. With both teams vying for crucial conference standings, the Packers emerged victorious, showcasing their defensive prowess and effective offense. Jordan Love led the Packers with a pivotal touchdown pass, while Josh Jacobs dominated the ground game with 90 rushing yards. On the other side, Jared Goff of the Lions threw for an impressive 259 yards, but struggled to convert drives into points, leaving Amon-Ra St. Brown’s standout performance with 116 receiving yards largely unfulfilled. Defensively, the Packers asserted their dominance, with Edgerrin Cooper recording a game-high nine tackles. The turning point came in the second half when the Packers' defense held strong, stifling the Lions' attempts to rally back. Despite Jared Verse's impressive 2.5 sacks for Detroit, the Packers' relentless pressure and key stops ensured that the Lions could never find their rhythm.
