In a thrilling Week 7 showdown, the Pittsburgh Steelers narrowly defeated the New Orleans Saints with a final score of 35-34. Both teams were vying for crucial momentum in the 2026 season, but it was the Steelers who managed to hold off the Saints in a nail-biter that kept fans on the edge of their seats. Aaron Rodgers delivered a standout performance for Pittsburgh, throwing for 355 yards and five touchdowns, solidifying his status as a key player in this matchup. DK Metcalf was his favorite target, racking up 160 receiving yards and making several critical catches that kept the Steelers' offense humming. On the ground, the Saints' Travis Etienne Jr. put on a show of his own, amassing an impressive 285 rushing yards, but it wasn't enough to secure the win. Defensively, the Saints struggled to contain the Steelers' explosive offense, with Justin Reid leading the way with seven total tackles. The game's turning point came late in the fourth quarter when Pittsburgh's defense stiffened, forcing a crucial turnover that allowed the Steelers to run out the clock. While Bryan Bresee managed to register a sack and Jonas Sanker came away with an interception, it was ultimately Pittsburgh's ability to capitalize on offensive opportunities that secured their victory.
