The Pittsburgh Steelers topped the New England Patriots 38-24 in a Week 2 showdown of the 2026 season. This decisive victory not only boosts the Steelers' confidence but also positions them strongly early in the campaign, while the Patriots will need to regroup after a challenging outing at home. Aaron Rodgers showcased his elite form for Pittsburgh, throwing for four touchdowns and leading a potent offense that included Rico Dowdle, who contributed 66 rushing yards, and DK Metcalf, who racked up 86 receiving yards. The Steelers' offensive efficiency was evident as they consistently found the end zone, leaving the Patriots struggling to keep pace throughout the game. Defensively, the Steelers were relentless, with T.J. Watt recording 1.5 sacks and Jamel Dean snagging an interception that shifted momentum in Pittsburgh's favor. The game's turning point came late in the second quarter when Dean's interception set up another touchdown, extending the Steelers' lead and putting the Patriots in a deep hole they couldn't escape. Jalen Ramsey's presence was also notable with four total tackles, adding to Pittsburgh's strong defensive performance.
