In a thrilling season opener, the Green Bay Packers narrowly defeated the Minnesota Vikings 31-28, setting the tone for what promises to be an exciting 2026 campaign. Both teams showcased their talents, but it was the Packers who emerged victorious in this tightly contested matchup. Leading the charge for Green Bay, quarterback Jordan Love threw for an impressive 397 yards and three touchdowns, showcasing his ability to command the offense. Tight end Tucker Kraft was a standout receiver, racking up 137 yards and proving to be a reliable target throughout the game. Despite a strong performance from Minnesota's Demond Claiborne, who rushed for 83 yards, the Packers' offensive firepower ultimately proved too much. Defensively, the Packers made timely plays that shifted momentum in their favor. Devonte Wyatt was a force, registering two sacks that disrupted the Vikings' rhythm, while Harrison Smith’s two interceptions kept Minnesota from capitalizing on scoring opportunities. The turning point came in the fourth quarter when Love connected with Kraft for a pivotal touchdown, sealing the victory and allowing Green Bay to hold off a late surge from the Vikings.
