In a commanding performance to kick off the 2026 season, the Seattle Seahawks defeated the New England Patriots 37-13. This victory not only sets the tone for Seattle's campaign but also highlights the disparity in offensive execution between the two teams. Jalen Milroe was the standout performer for the Seahawks, throwing for an impressive 403 yards and five touchdowns, showcasing his arm strength and accuracy. Tory Horton proved to be his favorite target, racking up 149 receiving yards and consistently finding separation against the Patriots' secondary. On the ground, TreVeyon Henderson led New England with 98 rushing yards, but his efforts weren't enough to keep pace with Seattle's prolific offense. Defensively, the Seahawks made their mark with a relentless pass rush, led by Derick Hall, who recorded four sacks, disrupting the Patriots' offensive rhythm throughout the game. Tre Hawkins III contributed to the defensive dominance with an interception, further tipping the scales in Seattle's favor. The turning point came early in the third quarter when a critical sack by Hall set up a short field for the Seahawks, allowing them to extend their lead and put the game out of reach for New England.
