The New England Patriots secured a decisive 41-22 victory over the Los Angeles Chargers in Week 12 of the 2026 season, solidifying their playoff aspirations. With this win, the Patriots demonstrated their offensive prowess while the Chargers struggled to keep pace on both sides of the ball. Quarterback Drake Maye led the charge for New England, throwing for 298 yards and three touchdown passes, showcasing his ability to connect with his receivers downfield. Meanwhile, Pierre Strong Jr. contributed significantly on the ground, racking up 81 rushing yards to keep the Chargers' defense on its heels. The Patriots' offensive line provided Maye with the protection he needed, allowing him to dictate the tempo of the game. Defensively, the Chargers had moments of brilliance, particularly with Derwin James Jr. leading the team with 11 tackles and Khalil Mack adding a sack. However, the turning point came late in the second quarter when the Patriots forced a turnover, which led to a quick touchdown, pushing their lead to two scores. From that moment, New England's defense tightened, limiting the Chargers' offensive opportunities and sealing the game.
