In a decisive Week 11 matchup, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers topped the Detroit Lions with a commanding 49-21 victory, solidifying their playoff positioning as the season approaches its final stretch. The win not only showcased the Bucs' offensive prowess but also highlighted Detroit's struggles to contain them on both sides of the ball. Baker Mayfield was the star of the show for Tampa Bay, delivering an impressive performance with 410 passing yards and four touchdown passes. His connection with the receiving corps was electric, enabling the Bucs to dominate the scoreboard. On the other side, Puka Nacua stood out for the Lions with a remarkable 217 receiving yards, but it wasn’t enough to keep up with Tampa’s scoring onslaught. Defensively, the Buccaneers made key plays that shifted the momentum in their favor. Rueben Bain Jr. was a force on the line, recording 2.5 sacks, while Tykee Smith contributed with a crucial interception that halted a potential Lions drive. The turning point came midway through the second quarter when Tampa Bay's defense stifled a Lions' attempt to rally, allowing the Buccaneers to extend their lead and never look back.
