In a dominant display, Norman Oklahoma topped State College Penn State with a final score of 43-7, marking a significant victory in Week 2 of the 2026 season. The win not only boosts Norman's early-season momentum but also raises questions about Penn State's ability to compete in the conference. Aaron Rodgers led the charge for Norman Oklahoma, throwing for 233 yards and two touchdowns, connecting effectively with his receivers. Rico Dowdle contributed significantly on the ground, rushing for 90 yards, while DK Metcalf emerged as a key target, racking up 70 receiving yards. The offensive unit showcased balance and efficiency, proving too much for the Penn State defense to handle. Defensively, Norman Oklahoma made crucial plays that changed the game's dynamics, highlighted by Troy Polamalu's interception and Cam Heyward's sack. The turning point came early in the second half when Polamalu's pick set up another scoring drive, extending Norman's lead to an insurmountable margin. With relentless pressure and timely takeaways, their defense suffocated Penn State's offense, sealing the convincing victory.
