In a commanding performance, the Los Angeles Rams topped the San Francisco 49ers with a final score of 39-17 in Week 4 of the 2027 season. This victory not only boosts the Rams' momentum but also puts them in a strong position within the division as they look to make a playoff push. Joe Milton was the standout performer for the Rams, throwing for an impressive 360 yards and two touchdowns, showcasing his ability to move the ball effectively downfield. Tetairoa McMillan was his favorite target, racking up 156 receiving yards, providing a crucial weapon in the passing game. Meanwhile, Christian McCaffrey led the 49ers on the ground with 69 rushing yards, but it wasn’t enough to keep pace with the Rams' offensive firepower. Defensively, the Rams made their presence felt, highlighted by Kamren Kinchens leading the team with five total tackles and Bobby Wagner snagging an interception. The game’s turning point came when the Rams’ defense stifled a potential scoring drive from the 49ers in the second quarter, forcing a turnover and allowing Los Angeles to extend their lead. Mykel Williams of the 49ers did his best to disrupt the Rams' rhythm with 2.5 sacks, but the overall defensive effort from Los Angeles proved too strong, sealing the victory.
