In a commanding performance, the New York Jets defeated the Houston Texans 35-21 in Week 5 of the 2027 season, solidifying their position as a contender. With this victory, the Jets continue to build momentum, showcasing their offensive prowess and defensive strength as they aim for playoff contention. Quarterback Josh Allen was the star of the show, throwing for 307 yards and four touchdowns, effectively leading the Jets' aerial assault. Kenyon Sadiq was his go-to target, racking up 113 receiving yards and finding the end zone. The combination of Allen's precision and Sadiq's playmaking ability proved too much for the Texans to handle. Defensively, the Jets made key plays that shifted the momentum in their favor. Troy Andersen led the way with four total tackles, while Nnamdi Madubuike added a sack that disrupted Houston's rhythm. Clyde Hoover's interception late in the game sealed the deal, preventing any chance of a Texans comeback and ensuring the Jets secured a comfortable win on the road.
