The Pittsburgh Steelers topped the Chicago Bears with a decisive 24-7 victory in Week 9 of the 2027 season. With playoff positioning on the line, this matchup proved crucial for both teams as they jockey for position in the competitive conference landscape. Offensively, the Steelers showcased a balanced attack, led by James Cook III, who rushed for an impressive 120 yards, finding the end zone to help secure the win. Chicago's Caleb Williams threw for 277 yards and a touchdown, connecting well with receiver Luther Burden III, who racked up 117 receiving yards. However, the Bears' offensive efforts fell short of matching Pittsburgh's scoring efficiency. Pittsburgh's defense played a pivotal role in the outcome, highlighted by Marcus Jones, who recorded 10 total tackles, and Cam Heyward, who notched two sacks. The turning point came late in the second quarter when Heyward's pressure led to a crucial turnover on downs, allowing the Steelers to extend their lead just before halftime. Chicago struggled to recover from that momentum shift, ultimately sealing their fate in this matchup.
