In a decisive Week 18 matchup, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers shut out the New Orleans Saints with a final score of 22-0, solidifying their playoff position and showcasing their dominance on both sides of the ball. With the stakes high, Tampa Bay proved they are a force to be reckoned with as the postseason approaches. Baker Mayfield led the charge for the Buccaneers, throwing for 184 yards and contributing to a balanced offensive attack. Bucky Irving was a standout on the ground, racking up 96 rushing yards and keeping the Saints' defense guessing, while Emeka Egbuka provided a reliable target in the passing game, finishing with 74 receiving yards. Together, they formed a potent trio that kept the Saints on their heels throughout the contest. While the Saints struggled offensively, their defense made some key plays, with Kaden Elliss recording nine total tackles and Cameron Jordan adding half a sack. However, the turning point came in the second quarter when the Buccaneers scored a critical touchdown, extending their lead and effectively putting the game out of reach for New Orleans. The Saints were unable to mount any significant response, leading to a disappointing end to their season.
