In a decisive Week 14 matchup, the New England Patriots topped the Minnesota Vikings with a commanding 42-17 victory, solidifying their position in the playoff race. The win not only boosts New England’s confidence but also raises questions about Minnesota's ability to contend in the postseason. Patriots quarterback Drake Maye delivered a stellar performance, throwing for 222 yards and three touchdowns. His connection with A.J. Brown was particularly lethal, as Brown racked up 117 receiving yards, making key plays that kept the Vikings' defense on their heels. Meanwhile, TreVeyon Henderson contributed significantly on the ground with 82 rushing yards, further enhancing the Patriots' offensive output. The New England defense played a pivotal role in the game, with standout performances from Harold Landry III and Shaq Thompson, who combined for two sacks and two interceptions, respectively. The turning point came when Thompson's second interception halted a potential scoring drive from Minnesota, allowing the Patriots to extend their lead and seize momentum. Christian Gonzalez’s seven total tackles underscored the defensive dominance that ultimately secured the victory.
