The Los Angeles Chargers held off the New York Jets with a final score of 34-28 in a thrilling Week 11 matchup of the 2026 season. With playoff implications on the line, both teams fought hard, but the Chargers ultimately emerged victorious on their home turf. Chargers quarterback Justin Herbert showcased his elite talent, racking up 320 passing yards and throwing four touchdown passes to lead his team. Brenen Thompson was his favorite target, hauling in six receptions for 92 yards, contributing significantly to the offensive firepower. On the ground, Rico Dowdle tried to keep the Jets competitive with a solid performance, rushing for 75 yards, but it was not enough to overcome the Chargers' high-scoring offense. Defensively, the Chargers made crucial plays to secure the win, highlighted by Khalil Mack, who recorded two sacks, putting pressure on Jets' quarterback throughout the game. Daiyan Henley was a standout on defense, leading the team with eight total tackles, helping to stifle New York's attempts to mount a comeback. The turning point came in the fourth quarter when Herbert connected with Thompson for a touchdown, extending the Chargers' lead and putting the game out of reach for the Jets.
