In an impressive display of dominance, the Washington Commanders topped the Los Angeles Rams 37-13 in Week 9 of the 2026 season. This victory not only solidifies the Commanders' playoff aspirations but also sends a clear message to the rest of the league about their offensive firepower and defensive resilience. Quarterback Aaron Rodgers was nothing short of spectacular, throwing for 345 yards and four touchdowns, while Stefon Diggs torched the Rams' secondary with a remarkable 202 receiving yards. Meanwhile, Jacory Croskey-Merritt contributed significantly on the ground, adding 78 rushing yards to keep the Rams' defense on its heels throughout the contest. Defensively, the Commanders were equally impressive, highlighted by Troy Andersen's seven total tackles, which helped stifle any potential Rams comeback. The game's turning point came in the second quarter when Washington scored two quick touchdowns, extending their lead to 24-6 and leaving the Rams struggling to recover. With both sides of the ball operating at a high level, the Commanders demonstrated they are a force to be reckoned with as the season progresses.
