In a hard-fought battle on the gridiron, the Cleveland Browns narrowly defeated the New Orleans Saints 24-17 in Week 9 of the 2026 season. With both teams vying for playoff positioning, the stakes were high, and the Browns emerged victorious, solidifying their standing in the competitive AFC. Cleveland's offense was powered by quarterback Taylen Green, who threw for two touchdowns, showcasing his ability to capitalize on key opportunities. Despite a strong performance from Saints quarterback Tyler Shough, who racked up 272 passing yards, it was Quinshon Judkins' steady ground game, contributing 65 rushing yards, that helped the Browns maintain control and keep the chains moving. Defensively, Myles Bryant led the charge for Cleveland with nine total tackles, anchoring a unit that was critical in limiting New Orleans' explosive potential. The turning point came late in the fourth quarter when Kaden Elliss's relentless pressure resulted in a crucial sack, forcing the Saints to settle for a field goal instead of a game-tying touchdown. This defensive stand ultimately allowed the Browns to hold off the Saints and secure the win.
