The Tampa Bay Buccaneers topped the Dallas Cowboys 28-14 in a Week 5 clash that showcased both teams' playoff aspirations. With this victory, the Buccaneers solidified their position in the NFC standings, while the Cowboys faced a tough setback in their quest for postseason glory. Baker Mayfield led the charge for Tampa Bay, throwing for 254 yards and a touchdown, while Bucky Irving contributed a solid 68 rushing yards to keep the ground game effective. Tyreek Hill was a standout in the passing game, racking up 85 receiving yards and adding a touchdown to his performance, helping the Buccaneers maintain offensive momentum throughout the contest. Defensively, the Buccaneers were able to contain the Cowboys' offense, which was spearheaded by Dak Prescott's two touchdown passes. The game turned in the Buccaneers' favor when they intercepted Prescott in the red zone, denying Dallas a chance to narrow the gap. Despite strong performances from Caleb Downs, who led the Cowboys with 10 tackles, and Quinnen Williams, who recorded 1.5 sacks, it wasn't enough to overcome Tampa Bay's defensive resilience.
