In a tightly contested matchup, the Detroit Lions held off the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, securing a 12-7 victory in Week 11 of the 2026 season. With playoff implications on the line, both teams fought hard, but it was the Lions who emerged victorious in a game dominated by defensive prowess. Jared Goff led the Lions with an efficient passing performance, throwing for 203 yards, while Jahmyr Gibbs added crucial ground support with 42 rushing yards. Geno Smith connected on the lone touchdown pass for the Buccaneers, but it was Chris Godwin Jr. who shined in the receiving department, racking up 110 yards to keep Tampa Bay competitive throughout the game. Defensively, the Buccaneers showcased a strong effort, particularly from Yaya Diaby, who recorded 2.5 sacks, but it was the Lions’ ability to make key stops that turned the tide. The game’s turning point came late in the fourth quarter when the Lions’ defense stifled a potential game-winning drive from the Bucs, sealing their hard-fought victory and keeping their playoff hopes alive.
