In a tightly contested matchup, the Carolina Panthers narrowly defeated the Denver Broncos 16-10 in Week 9 of the 2026 season. This victory was crucial for Carolina as they continue to solidify their position in the playoff race, while the Broncos struggle to find their footing amid a challenging season. Bryce Young was the standout performer for the Panthers, leading the offense with 219 passing yards and connecting for a touchdown. His ability to manage the game effectively, alongside solid contributions from Mitchell Evans, who racked up 56 receiving yards, allowed Carolina to maintain control and capitalize on scoring opportunities. Defensively, the Panthers made key plays to stifle Denver's offense, with Nic Scourton recording a crucial sack that shifted momentum in the second half. Despite J.K. Dobbins’ commendable 64 rushing yards for the Broncos, the Carolina defense held firm when it mattered most, limiting Denver's chances and securing the win. The turning point came late in the fourth quarter, as the Panthers’ defense stood strong, forcing the Broncos to settle for a field goal instead of a potential game-winning drive.
