The Indianapolis Colts topped the Jacksonville Jaguars 38-28 in a crucial Week 8 matchup, solidifying their position in the playoff race. Both teams entered the game with high hopes, but it was the Colts who emerged victorious, demonstrating their offensive firepower and resilience on defense. Jonathan Taylor was the standout performer for Indianapolis, racking up an impressive 135 rushing yards, which helped propel the Colts' attack. Quarterback Trevor Lawrence kept the Jaguars competitive with 199 passing yards and two touchdowns, while Brian Thomas Jr. made a significant impact in the receiving game with 121 yards. However, the Colts' balanced offensive approach ultimately proved too much for Jacksonville to handle. Defensively, the Colts made key plays that shifted momentum in their favor. Laiatu Latu recorded a crucial sack, while Sauce Gardner's interception added to the Jaguars' struggles, effectively putting the game out of reach. The turning point came late in the third quarter when Gardner's pick set up a touchdown that gave Indianapolis a commanding lead, allowing them to hold off a late Jaguars surge.
