In a decisive Week 7 showdown, the Chicago Bears topped the New England Patriots with a final score of 34-20, solidifying their place in the playoff race. The Bears' victory was crucial, as they look to build momentum heading into the second half of the season. Caleb Williams was the standout for Chicago, throwing for a touchdown while also leading the team with 96 rushing yards. His dual-threat capabilities kept the Patriots' defense guessing throughout the game. On the other side, Drake Maye threw for 185 yards but struggled to find the end zone, leaving the Patriots in a tough spot offensively. Defensively, the Bears made their mark with a solid performance led by Xavier Woods, who recorded seven total tackles. The turning point came when Dillon Thieneman intercepted a pass from Maye, giving Chicago the momentum they needed to extend their lead. With Alex Highsmith adding 1.5 sacks, the Bears' defense proved to be just as effective as their offense in securing this important win.
