In a decisive Week 2 matchup, the Dallas Cowboys emerged victorious over the Washington Commanders with a commanding 21-0 scoreline. The win not only solidified Dallas's early season momentum but also provided a stark reminder of the challenges Washington faces in their quest for competitiveness this year. Dak Prescott was the star of the show, throwing for 227 yards and three touchdowns, showcasing his ability to lead the offense with precision and poise. KaVontae Turpin proved to be a reliable target, racking up 86 receiving yards, while the Cowboys’ offensive unit capitalized on every opportunity presented. In contrast, the Commanders struggled on the ground, with Jayden Daniels managing only 14 rushing yards throughout the contest. Defensively, the Cowboys made their mark with a disciplined performance, highlighted by Malik Hooker's interception, which stifled any momentum Washington attempted to build. The turning point came early in the second half, when the Cowboys' defense forced a critical turnover, allowing Prescott to extend the lead with a touchdown pass shortly thereafter. With Dallas's defense holding strong, the Commanders were unable to find any rhythm, ultimately leading to a shutout that emphasized the disparity between the two teams.
