The Minnesota Vikings secured a crucial victory over the New York Jets with a final score of 24-17 in Week 17 of the 2026 season. With playoff implications on the line, the Vikings delivered a strong performance that solidified their postseason aspirations while leaving the Jets to reevaluate their chances. J.J. McCarthy led the Vikings' offense with 170 passing yards, showcasing efficient management of the game. However, it was Demond Claiborne who truly shone, racking up an impressive 108 rushing yards that helped propel Minnesota's ground attack. Cade Klubnik of the Jets managed one touchdown pass but struggled to match McCarthy's efficiency, leaving his team wanting more. Defensively, the Jets made some key plays, highlighted by D'Angelo Ponds' standout performance with eight tackles and an interception. Will McDonald IV also contributed with 1.5 sacks, applying pressure throughout the game. However, despite their efforts, the Vikings' balanced attack proved too much, and a pivotal turnover in the second half shifted momentum firmly in Minnesota's favor, sealing the game.
