In a commanding display, the Houston Texans triumphed over the Jacksonville Jaguars with a final score of 58-22, solidifying their position in the playoff race during Week 6 of the 2026 season. This victory not only boosts the Texans' confidence but also raises questions about the Jaguars' defensive capabilities moving forward. Leading the charge for Houston was quarterback Taylen Green, who threw for an impressive 447 yards and five touchdowns, while also showcasing his dual-threat ability with 160 rushing yards. His top target, Omari Evans, torched the Jaguars' secondary with 181 receiving yards, making key plays that kept the Texans' offense firing on all cylinders. Defensively, the Texans were effective in limiting the Jaguars' scoring opportunities, highlighted by Kamari Lassiter's interception that shifted momentum in Houston's favor. Though Jacksonville's Travon Walker recorded two sacks and Antonio Johnson tallied five tackles, their efforts were not enough to contain the explosive Texans offense. The turning point came early in the second half when Houston scored back-to-back touchdowns, effectively putting the game out of reach for Jacksonville.
