In a crucial Week 2 matchup, the Carolina Panthers topped the Atlanta Falcons 22-10, securing their first win of the 2026 season. The Panthers showcased a balanced attack, while the Falcons struggled to find their rhythm, needing a victory to gain momentum early in the campaign. Jordan Love led the way for the Falcons with two touchdown passes, but Michael Penix Jr. was limited to just 158 passing yards. On the ground, Bijan Robinson made a significant impact, rushing for 101 yards and keeping the Falcons competitive, while Zachariah Branch contributed 60 receiving yards, but it wasn’t enough to close the gap against a determined Panthers defense. The Panthers' defense was a key factor in their victory, with Trevin Wallace racking up seven total tackles to stifle the Falcons' offensive efforts. The game’s turning point came when Devin Lloyd intercepted a pass, shifting the momentum firmly in favor of Carolina. With Lee Hunter adding a sack to the mix, the Panthers effectively contained Atlanta, sealing the win with a strong defensive performance.
