In a decisive week 2 showdown, the New Orleans Saints topped the Green Bay Packers with a final score of 38-23. This victory not only boosts the Saints' confidence early in the 2027 season but also establishes them as a formidable contender in the league. Saints quarterback Joe Milton delivered an impressive performance, throwing for 327 yards and three touchdowns, showcasing his ability to lead the offense effectively. Supporting him was Jordyn Tyson, who racked up 121 receiving yards, and Travis Etienne Jr., who added a solid 72 rushing yards. Together, they orchestrated a balanced attack that kept the Packers' defense guessing throughout the game. On the defensive side, the Saints made critical plays that shifted momentum in their favor, especially with Kenyatta Jackson Jr. contributing 1.5 sacks. While the Packers' Edgerrin Cooper led all players with 15 total tackles, it wasn't enough to contain the Saints' high-octane offense. The turning point came in the second quarter when Milton connected with Tyson for a long touchdown, igniting a scoring run that the Packers could not recover from.
