The Houston Texans cruised to a commanding 40-7 victory over the Indianapolis Colts in Week 3 of the 2027 season, solidifying their place as a formidable contender. The Texans showcased their offensive firepower, while the Colts struggled to find their rhythm, unable to respond to the relentless onslaught. C.J. Stroud led the way for Houston, throwing for 177 yards and three touchdowns, demonstrating accuracy and poise under pressure. Kewan Lacy complemented the passing game with a strong performance on the ground, racking up 95 rushing yards. Eric Singleton Jr. was Stroud's favorite target, finishing the game with 57 receiving yards and contributing to a balanced offensive attack that overwhelmed the Colts' defense. Defensively, the Texans were equally impressive, limiting the Colts to just one touchdown and forcing crucial turnovers. The game’s turning point came in the second quarter when Kamari Lassiter's interception shifted momentum firmly in Houston's favor. With Azeez Al-Shaair leading the team in tackles and Will Anderson Jr. contributing a sack, the Texans' defense effectively stifled any hope of a Colts comeback, sealing the dominant victory.
