In a dominant display, the Detroit Lions topped the Chicago Bears with a final score of 42-14 in Week 17 of the 2026 season. With playoff positioning on the line, Detroit's offensive explosion secured their spot, while Chicago's hopes took a significant blow as they struggled to keep pace. Leading the charge for the Lions was Bhayshul Tuten, who had a staggering 316 rushing yards, showcasing his ability to break tackles and find open field. Trevor Lawrence of the Bears managed to throw for 204 yards and a touchdown, but his efforts were overshadowed by the Lions' relentless ground game and scoring efficiency. Meanwhile, Joshua Palmer provided some highlights for Chicago with 54 receiving yards, but it wasn't nearly enough. Defensively, the Lions were relentless, with Dax Hill leading the team with six total tackles, while Will Anderson Jr. added a sack to disrupt Chicago's rhythm. The game's turning point came when Christian Benford intercepted a pass, halting a potential scoring drive for the Bears and allowing Detroit to extend their lead further. With a powerful performance on both sides of the ball, the Lions demonstrated their readiness for the playoffs.
