In a closely contested battle, the Dallas Cowboys narrowly defeated the Washington Commanders 28-25 in Week 3 of the 2027 season. This victory not only boosts Dallas's momentum but also solidifies their position early in the playoff race, showcasing their offensive firepower against a tough opponent. Cowboys quarterback Anthony Richardson Sr. led the charge with an impressive performance, throwing for 323 yards and three touchdowns. Cam Skattebo contributed significantly on the ground, racking up 103 rushing yards, while Mike Evans was a standout in the air with 174 receiving yards, proving to be a constant threat for the Commanders' defense throughout the game. The turning point came in the fourth quarter when the Cowboys' defense made crucial stops, allowing them to maintain their slim lead. Although the Commanders' Nick Bolton recorded a team-high nine tackles and Paulson Adebo snagged an interception, they struggled to contain the explosive Dallas offense. Kayvon Thibodeaux's half-sack highlighted the pressure applied, but it wasn't enough to thwart the Cowboys' ultimate victory.
