The Houston Texans topped the Jacksonville Jaguars 34-17 in a decisive Week 3 matchup of the 2027 season. With both teams looking to establish momentum early in the season, the Texans delivered a strong performance that solidified their position in the playoff race. Javonte Ryans was the standout performer for Houston, throwing for 260 yards and four touchdowns, showcasing his ability to command the offense. He connected frequently with Colston Loveland, who racked up an impressive 163 receiving yards, proving to be a reliable target throughout the game. TreVeyon Henderson added to the offensive onslaught with 91 rushing yards, contributing significantly to the Texans' balanced attack. Houston's defense played a crucial role in the victory, highlighted by Devin Bush's four total tackles and Travis Hunter's key interception. The turning point came in the second quarter when Hunter's pick thwarted a potential Jaguars scoring drive, allowing the Texans to capitalize and extend their lead. Despite a strong effort from Jacksonville's Zach Allen, who recorded two sacks, the Texans' defense managed to hold firm and secure the win.
