The Las Vegas Raiders secured a 17-9 victory over the San Francisco 49ers in Week 9 of the 2026 season, solidifying their position in the playoff race. The stakes were high as both teams sought to improve their standings, but it was the Raiders who emerged victorious on the road. Quarterback J.J. McCarthy led the charge for the Raiders, throwing for 242 yards and a touchdown, while also displaying impressive poise under pressure. Running back Bijan Robinson contributed significantly with 89 rushing yards, complementing McCarthy's aerial assault. Parker Washington was a standout in the receiving corps, racking up 125 yards and providing key plays that kept the chains moving for Las Vegas. Defensively, the 49ers were unable to contain the Raiders effectively, despite Jared Verse's notable performance with 1.5 sacks. The turning point came late in the fourth quarter when Upton Stout intercepted McCarthy, giving the 49ers a glimmer of hope. However, the Raiders' defense held firm, ultimately sealing the victory and limiting San Francisco to just nine points.
