In a hard-fought battle, the Green Bay Packers narrowly defeated the Dallas Cowboys 20-16, tightening their grip on the NFC playoff picture in Week 6 of the 2026 season. With both teams vying for crucial conference standings, this matchup proved pivotal for momentum heading into the second half of the season. Green Bay's Ty Simpson led the charge with a strong performance through the air, throwing for 264 yards and connecting effectively with star receiver Terry McLaurin, who racked up 94 receiving yards. Despite the efforts of Dallas's Cam Skattebo, who carried the ball for 81 yards, the Cowboys fell short in their offensive execution, particularly in the red zone. On the defensive side, the Packers showcased their strength, with Nakobe Dean leading the team with eight total tackles, providing critical stops throughout the game. The turning point came late in the fourth quarter when Dallas, down by four, was unable to convert a crucial fourth down, allowing Green Bay to secure the win and control the clock. Meanwhile, Chase Young’s 1.5 sacks and Quandre Diggs’ interception for Dallas were not enough to flip the momentum in their favor.
