In a thrilling Week 2 matchup of the 2026 season, the Away team held off the Home team with a final score of 24-21, solidifying their early-season momentum. Both teams entered the game looking to establish their identity, but it was the Away squad that managed to hold off a late-game rally from the Home team. Patrick Mahomes led the charge for the Away team, throwing for 221 yards and consistently finding ways to move the chains. Meanwhile, Kenneth Walker dominated the ground game with 104 rushing yards, providing a strong balance to the offense. Home's Jayden Daniels tossed one touchdown, but it wasn't enough to keep pace with the Away's explosive plays and efficiency. Defensively, the Away team was bolstered by Nik Bonitto, who recorded two key sacks that disrupted the Home team's rhythm. The game's turning point came late in the fourth quarter when Bonitto's pressure led to a crucial turnover on downs, allowing the Away team to maintain their slim lead. Despite standout performances from Mansoor Delane and Matt Milano on the Home side, it was the Away team's ability to capitalize on defensive stops that ultimately sealed their victory.
