In a thrilling Conference Championship showdown, the New York Jets bested the Houston Texans 28-14, securing their spot in the Super Bowl. Stakes were high as both teams vied for a chance at glory in the 2026 season, but it was the Jets who rose to the occasion and delivered a decisive performance. Tyler Shough led the way for New York, tossing two touchdown passes while also benefiting from a strong ground game featuring David Montgomery, who rushed for 89 yards. On the receiving end, Colston Loveland of the Texans stood out with 106 receiving yards, but it wasn't enough to overcome the Jets' offensive firepower. Defensively, the Jets made their presence felt, with Maxx Crosby recording two critical sacks that disrupted Houston's rhythm. Mike Hughes added a pivotal interception that shifted momentum in the second half, allowing New York to capitalize and maintain their lead. The turning point came late in the third quarter, as Crosby's pressure led to a turnover on downs, sealing the Jets' victory and sending them to the championship game.
