In a thrilling Week 7 showdown, the Detroit Lions narrowly defeat the Green Bay Packers with a final score of 38-35, solidifying their place in the playoff race. Both teams battled fiercely, knowing that a victory would provide a significant boost as the season approaches its midpoint. Lions quarterback Jalen Milroe was instrumental in the win, throwing for 323 yards and connecting on critical plays throughout the game. Meanwhile, Packers signal-caller Jalen Hurts showcased his prowess with four touchdown passes, but it wasn’t enough to secure the win. On the receiving end, Brenen Thompson shone brightly for the Lions, amassing an impressive 172 receiving yards that helped propel Detroit to victory. Defensively, the Lions made key contributions, with Charles Omenihu notching a pivotal sack that set the tone for their defensive stand. The game’s turning point came late in the fourth quarter when a crucial interception by Malaki Starks was negated by a penalty, allowing the Lions to maintain their lead. Despite a valiant effort from the Packers' defense, which included Travis Hunter's three tackles and Starks’ four interceptions, it was the Lions' ability to capitalize on their opportunities that ultimately secured the win.
