In a tightly contested matchup, the Minnesota Vikings narrowly defeated the Indianapolis Colts 23-19 in Week 7 of the 2026 season. With both teams vying for playoff positioning, this victory was crucial for Minnesota as they continue to build momentum in the second half of the season. Tyler Shough led the Colts' offense, throwing for 213 yards and one touchdown, showcasing his ability to move the ball through the air despite the loss. Jaylen Warren was the standout for the Vikings, contributing 81 rushing yards that helped establish a balanced offensive attack. Meanwhile, Austin Hooper provided a reliable target for Shough with 53 receiving yards, but it wasn't enough to secure a win. Defensively, the Vikings were anchored by Demario Davis, who recorded nine tackles, and Jaylon Johnson, who picked off a crucial pass. The game’s turning point came late in the fourth quarter when Johnson's interception thwarted a potential game-winning drive for the Colts, allowing Minnesota to maintain their lead and ultimately secure the victory. Myles Garrett's two sacks for Indianapolis kept the pressure on the Vikings' offense, but it was Minnesota's defensive stand that made the difference in this hard-fought battle.
