In a dominant performance, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers topped the Dallas Cowboys 46-17 in Week 5 of the 2026 season, showcasing their offensive prowess while remaining firmly in the playoff conversation. This victory solidified the Buccaneers’ position as a top contender, leaving the Cowboys with plenty to address as they look to rebound. Drake Maye was the star of the night, throwing for an impressive 330 yards and four touchdowns, leading the Buccaneers' explosive offense. Jaylen Wright added a strong ground game with 124 rushing yards, while Tetairoa McMillan made his mark in the receiving game, racking up 116 yards to complement Maye's aerial assault. Together, they formed a potent trio that overwhelmed the Cowboys' defense. On the defensive side, the Buccaneers put pressure on the Cowboys' offense, highlighted by an interception from Devon Witherspoon that shifted the momentum early in the game. Though Darnell Savage led the game in tackles for Dallas with six, it was the Buccaneers' ability to force turnovers and capitalize on them that defined the outcome. The turning point came when Tampa Bay scored consecutive touchdowns after Witherspoon's interception, creating an insurmountable lead that Dallas could not overcome.
