In a commanding opening to the 2026 season, the New York Giants topped the Dallas Cowboys with a decisive score of 44-24. This Week 1 clash showcased the Giants' offensive firepower and set the tone for their campaign while the Cowboys face an early test of resilience. Leading the charge for New York was quarterback Anthony Richardson Sr, who threw for an impressive 309 yards and three touchdowns. His ability to connect with standout receiver Malik Nabers, who racked up 116 receiving yards, kept the Cowboys' defense on their heels throughout the game. The Giants' offensive strategy proved effective, capitalizing on every opportunity to build a substantial lead. Defensively, the Giants were equally impactful, particularly with Mansoor Delane's interception that shifted momentum back in New York's favor. The Cowboys struggled to keep pace, with Kamari Lassiter’s five tackles not enough to contain the Giants' explosive offense. The turning point came in the second quarter when Richardson's touchdown pass to Nabers energized the team and left the Cowboys scrambling to recover.
