In a pivotal matchup during Week 9 of the 2026 season, the New Orleans Saints topped the Cleveland Browns with a final score of 28-17, solidifying their position in the playoff race. Both teams entered the game with high stakes, but it was the Saints who ultimately emerged victorious, showcasing a balanced offensive attack. Tyler Shough led the charge for New Orleans, throwing for 229 yards and a touchdown, effectively managing the game while connecting with his receivers when it mattered most. On the ground, Tyrone Tracy Jr. was a force, racking up 98 rushing yards and keeping the Browns' defense on their heels. The Saints' offensive execution allowed them to control the tempo and maintain their lead throughout the contest. Defensively, the Cleveland Browns made some key plays, with Maliek Collins registering 1.5 sacks, but it wasn't enough to stifle the Saints' offensive momentum. The turning point came in the third quarter when New Orleans scored back-to-back touchdowns, effectively extending their lead and forcing the Browns to play catch-up. Despite a strong performance from Carson Schwesinger, who tallied seven tackles, the Browns could not overcome the deficit, allowing the Saints to hold off any late-game surge.
