In a tightly contested matchup, the Carolina Panthers narrowly defeated the Tampa Bay Buccaneers 16-13 in Week 7 of the 2026 season. Both teams were looking to bolster their playoff hopes, but it was the Panthers who emerged victorious, thanks to a strong performance from their offense. Leading the charge for Carolina was quarterback Bryce Young, who threw for 315 yards and secured one touchdown pass. He connected with wide receiver Tetairoa McMillan, who racked up an impressive 116 receiving yards, helping to keep drives alive and put points on the board. Chuba Hubbard added to the offensive effort with a solid 62 rushing yards, providing crucial balance to the Panthers' attack. Defensively, the Panthers were equally impressive, with Tre'von Moehrig leading the way with nine total tackles. Jaelan Phillips contributed a key sack that disrupted Tampa Bay's rhythm, while Antoine Winfield Jr. of the Buccaneers managed to snag an interception, but it was not enough to shift the momentum. The turning point came late in the fourth quarter when Carolina's defense forced a crucial turnover, allowing them to maintain their slim lead and secure the win.
