In a tightly contested battle in Week 4 of the 2026 season, the Houston Texans narrowly defeated the Dallas Cowboys with a final score of 16-13. This victory not only boosts the Texans' confidence but also places them firmly in the playoff conversation as they continue to build momentum in a competitive conference. C.J. Stroud was the standout performer for Houston, throwing for 342 yards and a touchdown, effectively leading his offense downfield. Deion Burks proved to be a reliable target, racking up an impressive 150 receiving yards, while Quinshon Judkins contributed significantly on the ground with 86 rushing yards, helping to keep the Cowboys' defense on their heels throughout the game. Defensively, the Cowboys showed resilience, with Malachi Lawrence making an impact by recording seven tackles and two sacks. However, it was the Texans' ability to maintain control of the clock and convert key third downs that ultimately turned the tide. The game's pivotal moment came when Stroud connected with Burks for a long gain, positioning Houston to seal the victory with a late field goal.
